"Building on our Legacy" for Juneteenth 2024 refers to continuing the work and progress made in honoring and commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. It also reflects on the historical significance of Juneteenth, celebrating achievements and contributions of the Black community, and looking towards the future in terms of social justice, equality, and unity. The theme suggests a focus on acknowledging the past while striving to create a more inclusive and equitable society moving forward.
