A Park for Playing ~ A Park for Dreaming
How You Can Help

(Double click for full screen and to adjust sound.)

The future home of Hope Park was donated by City of Joplin to the EastTown Dreams District to develop into a park for the EastTown neighborhood. It is located two blocks directly N of Joe Becker off historic Rte66. EastTown is the original founding area of Joplin MO, and an area currently undergoing improvement and redevelopment activity, community wide home repairing efforts and economic development strategies.  In 2021 the EastTown neighborhood saw the opening of the Washington Hope Center and continues to see new business growth. Big thank you to Hunter and Millard Architects provided the original Hope Park blueprint and renderings and RE Smith Construction configured preliminary costs and options.

HOPE PARK Joplin, MO

EastTown Dreams has a clear vision of what this Park will represent to the community.

It will Inspire, encourage and remind kids that hope leads to dreaming, dreaming leads to goal setting, goal setting leads to actions, and action leads to self actualization and productivity

It will have an interactive “wall of dreams” alongside the North area to showcase kids dreams and recognize our partners generosity

There will be a Pavilion that will showcase anything is possible… you can dream it, you can achieve it through hard work and dedication
